Our Charities

The Practice of Benevolence, or 'universal charity' is a core belief of Freemasons everywhere. Freemasonry Victoria, through its Board of Benevolence funds over a hundred annual education scholarships and numerous grants to worthy charities which have been identified by individual Lodges. While level os of support vary from year to year it is always in excess of a million dollars.

The Lodge supports several local organisations in obtaining grants from the Freemasons Public Charitable Foundation.

The Foundation was established in 1989, and all its investment income is directed to public charitable enterprises. In the past 9 years the Foundation with the help of the morning Lodge donated in excess of $190,000 to local organisations.

Mornington Freemasons support the Biala Peninsula Special Education School in addition to the Mornington Information and Support Centre inc. on an annual basis.

Freemasons Victoria has been active in the community for over 170 years. It established the Freemasons Hospital in 1937 and he Royal Freemasons Homes of Victoria in 1867 for the care of the elderly in our community.
